The University of Johannesburg (UJ) Arts & Culture, a division of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture (FADA), is excited to present this year’s Arts Academy showcase taking place from 15-18 October 2024. This annual event aims to highlight the remarkable artistic talents of UJ students. Open to both students and the public, this showcase promises to captivate audiences with a dynamic display of diverse and creative expressions. 

UJ Arts & Culture takes pride in providing forums for students to demonstrate and develop their artistic talents. The Arts Academy, a diversified extracurricular program, encourages UJ students to participate in various artistic pursuits which includes dance, drama, poetry and photography. This vibrant space has become a hub for students to fully develop and refine their artistic abilities. 

This year’s showcase promises to take audiences on an exciting journey, featuring dance, adult ballet, drama performances, slam poetry, and a photography exhibition—all thoroughly planned and executed by our talented students and their teachers, highlighting their unique and diverse talents.
